Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 17, 2026
Welcome to Cubet AIMC. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we handle your data. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the information we collect when you use our web application.
1. No Persistent Data Storage
We do not store your personal data on our servers. Cubet operates as a client-side application. All authentication tokens, user preferences, and cached music data are stored locally on your device using your browser's Local Storage and Session Storage.
When you log out or clear your browser cache, this data is removed from your device. We do not maintain a database of user profiles, email addresses, or listening history.
2. Spotify Data & Developer Compliance
Cubet integrates with the Spotify Web API to provide music recommendations. By using our service, you acknowledge and agree to the following regarding your Spotify data:
Authentication: We use Spotify's OAuth 2.0 protocol. You log in directly with Spotify; we never see or store your password.
Data Usage: We access your "Top Tracks", "Listening History", and "User Profile" solely to generate personalized recommendations (The "Machine" feature) and visualize your music vibe.
No Transfer: We do not sell, rent, or transfer your Spotify data to any third parties.
Spotify Terms: Our use of Spotify data is strictly limited by the Spotify Developer Terms of Service and Developer Policy. We do not modify your Spotify account settings (other than creating playlists upon your explicit request) or manipulate streaming metrics.
3. Use of OpenAI API & AI Limitations
To power our "AI Vibe Check" and "Cubet DJ" features, we may send anonymized text prompts or aggregated metadata (e.g., "List of 5 song titles") to OpenAI's API. We do not send personally identifiable information (PII) to OpenAI.
No Generative Audio Training
We do not use your data to train generative AI models for audio creation. Our AI systems are strictly used for logic processing and metadata analysis to curate playlists. We do not generate new audio files, songs, or voices using your listening history.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use local storage technologies for essential functionality:
Authentication Tokens: To keep you logged in during your session.
User Preferences: To remember your theme (Dark/Bright) and Vibe Tuner settings.
Legal Consent: To remember that you have accepted this Privacy Policy.
5. Compliance and Quota Integrity
We are dedicated to maintaining a clean and compliant application ecosystem.
Rate Limiting: Our application respects all rate limits imposed by the Spotify API to ensure platform stability.
Attribution: All content (Album Art, Track Titles, Artist Names) is sourced from Spotify and is used with proper attribution and branding compliance.
Scopes: We request only the minimum set of permissions (scopes) required for our features to function.
6. Third-Party Links
Our website allows you to open tracks directly in Spotify. We define this behavior clearly via our "Streaming on Spotify Platform" notices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of Spotify or other third-party websites.
